At a time when Martha Stewart is everywhere, shilling everything (and often used ironically), we needed to get her back to her expert roots. As Miracle-Gro’s recently appointed Chief Gardener, we needed to prove that this relationship was more than a branded opportunity. Because Miracle-Gro’s new Organic line didn’t just win her seal of approaval; it grew her caprese salad. The Martin Agency hired me to Creative Direct the social media and integrated campaign featuring her and her side kick Ryan, but it’s this long form content that won the hearts and shucked the cynicism of aspiring gardeners everywhere.
Fun fact: I happened to be wearing the same button up blouse that wardrobe chose for Martha at this shoot, which is funny because millionaire octogenarian was on my style vision board.
